Specialist Support Assistant Supporting children with SEMH difficulties Darwen X3 roles Full-time role, 8.00am-4pm £12.90 - £13.50per hour Flexible start (ASAP start) Until the end of the academic year (July 2024) Teaching Personnel have been approached by a specialist provision in Darwen which caters for pupils aged 11-19 with complex social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
They are looking to recruit 3x Specialist support assistant due to new starters in Years 6, Year 7 and Year 8.
Many pupils who attend this school have not had a previously good experience at school and have been persistently absent from education.
As a result, the pupils have large gaps in their learning and have low confidence levels in their academic ability.
The school offers a therapeutic environment which allows the pupils to thrive.
A varied curriculum is offered including vocational subjects as well as core subjects.
The school also focuses on enrichment and connecting the pupils to their environment, as a result pupils should feel more engaged with their education and want to do well.
