Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our supportive team and facilitate effective communication for all.We are looking for SLT to undertake Autism diagnostic assessments in the Preston, South Ribble and Chorley area.

Therefore, we encourage interested candidates to apply promptly Main duties of the job Thesuccessful candidate will support assessment and interventions for children forwhom we receive a request for specific services.
This will include undertaking assessments for children on the Autistic diagnostic assessment pathway, writing reports which follow the DSM5 and supporting a decision as part of the Multi-disciplinary team.The assessments are mostly completed within educational settings, Family Hubs or the family home andoften involve collaboration with parents, carers and the Multi-agency team.Assessment appointments is largly undertaken by our BusinessSupport Team.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Degree or Masters.
Registration with RCSLT and HCPC.
Desirable Training relevant to role, ADOS etc.
Experience Essential 5+ years experience working as an SLT with children, young people, their families and the Multi-agency team.
Experience working with children and young people with an ASD diagnosis.
Experience supervising and coaching others.
Desirable Experience in undertaking Autistic diagnostic assessments and writing reports.
Experience in leading other to deliver high quality SLT services.
Experience in monitoring service outcomes.
Experience in using Microsoft Office 365 suite including Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.
