Main duties of the jobAs a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilitiesWe are seeking an autonomous practitioner, managing a high-risk podiatric caseload, in single or multi-chair clinics, as well as in inpatient and domiciliary settings.
Duties may include:
Assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with a wide range of clinical needs, specifically high-risk patients e.g.
those with diabetes, inflammatory arthropathies and vascular pathologiesSpecialist clinics in wound care, MSK or nail surgeryVirtual clinicsIndividual or group patient educationEducation and training for other health professionalsMentorship to undergraduate students and apprenticesWhat We're Looking For:A degree or diploma in podiatry with current HCPC registration and a local analgesia certificateA podiatrist who has good knowledge of the high-risk foot, who is confident in managing foot ulceration and able to link in with the integrated diabetic foot pathwayA caring, motivated individual with excellent communication and teamwork skills.A highly organised individual who is able to use their own initiative, whilst following professional guidelines and keeping up to date with current best practiceThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging clinical environment.Training and development opportunities:Rotations in to other specialist areasRegular 1:1s and PDRs, along with a Learning and Development department to support your learning objectivesThe new post holder will develop their specialist skills through training both internally and via external courses.Support and Wellbeing:Tailored induction and a dedicated buddy to help you find your feet in first few days and weeksGuidance and support from your manager with regular 1:1s and PDRsTrust wide health and wellbeing events and activitiesWorking Hours:This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) post but we have a flexible working policy that we are happy to discuss to establish suitable options for you and the department.
