We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Podiatrist to join our friendly and supportive team working in the Bridgend area.
The role will offer the opportunity to use and develop your professional skills and experience in a range of community settings.
Clinic sessions will include assessing and treating a range of podiatric pathologies, musculoskeletal Podiatry assessment, wound management, referrals for nail surgery and other onward referrals, all underpinned by providing patient self-management support.
Main duties of the jobEffectively managing a Podiatry clinical caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence-based client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate podiatric interventions in community settings and other settings as required.
Supporting positive behavioural changes and empowering self-management.
The autonomous assessment, development of treatment plans and signposting as appropriate of a wide range of Podiatry patients with both routine and complex health problems including musculoskeletal podiatry, wound management, nail surgery.
Use of evidence-based, client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate podiatric interventions in the hospital and community setting.
Single-handed, autonomous assessment, diagnosis and development of care and treatment plans for low and high-risk patients in primary and community care settings.
Involvement in research and local clinical audit to measure and monitor intervention evaluation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
