Specialist Podiatrist – At Risk Non-Diabetic Foot Wounds And Care

Job summary We are looking for a Specialist Podiatry Lead to work in our At Risk pathway to work alongside our foot protection team and At Risk Lead, concentrating on aligning those patients without Diabetes but have a foot wound to have similar care pathways to patients with Diabetes , reducing admissions and health inequalities.
This is an exciting opportunity that will support the both the professional development of the Foot protection Team and develop the pathways required in line with National guidance across the Community Health and Integrated Care division at ESHT.
The role will focus on the clinical, education and service development for the wider Podiatry workforce and to raise the profile of Podiatry across the trust.
It will offer an excellent opportunity to develop the service further across the four pillars of practice.
The post requires the successful candidate to have a minimum of 4 years post registration experience working within community and hospital settings in the specialism of diabetes/ highly complex woundcare/ high risk foot.
The successful applicant will also be a car driver/ owner as this post will be cross county.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to degree level or equivalent Podiatrist registered with the Health Professions Council Local anaesthetic certificate Evidence of postgraduate Development around education and practice Educated to masters level or equivalent experience in practice Desirable Qualification in Education Leadership qualification/training Experience Essential Post-qualification experience working within the NHS Experience as student Practice Educator Experience of supervision and appraising staff Delivering services along evidence based guidelines Experience of multi-disciplinary working Experience of providing training/presentations Skilled in the use of reflective practice Desirable Experience of inter-professional working Experience of Service Development Experience within acute and community settings Experience as Community Equipment Provider Skills Essential To frequently concentrate when undertaking intricate clinical interventions Good presentation skills Good networking skills To give and receive clinical supervision Good interpersonal skills To work using own initiative To cope with unpredictable work patterns Good leadership/motivational skills Commitment to inter-professional team working Desirable Good understanding of the local agenda for relevant clinical groups Understanding of the future direction of the NHS Understanding of the unique demographic within East Sussex and the impact of service demand Experience of inputting into business case Advanced IT skills
