Job summary It is an exciting time to join our Physiotherapy service which is integral to the Trust commitment to become a designated major trauma centre and investment and transformation of elective care provision.
Our patients rate us highly on quality of care and having friendly, approachable staff and we are looking for like-minded individuals to join us on this journey.
We are seeking a senior physiotherapist with highly specialist knowledge and skills to join our musculoskeletal outpatient team.
The post holder will manage both NNUH staff members who are able to self refer to our workplace health and wellbeing staff physiotherapy service and patients referred from Consultant clinics requiring acute and specialist management.
Your caseload will include trauma and acquired conditions managed on both conservative or surgical pathways.
You will also be involved in prevention work/initiatives with the staff physiotherapy team.
You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including face to face and virtual 1:1 clinics, MDT clinics, education groups, exercise classes and hydrotherapy.
You will play a key role in the development of our services and the knowledge and skills of junior staff in the team.

We will provide supervision and appraisal, and our expectation is that a reflective and pro-active approach to lifelong learning is taken utilising critical self review, peer review and service user a member of our team it is expected that all staff participate in 7-day working and bank holiday provision as dictated by service needs.
For this post, 7-day working may include delivery of care on the Orthopaedic wards or provision of outpatient clinics if running.
Training will be provided to maintain ward based competencies where required.
There is no requirement for the postholder to participate in the physiotherapy respiratory on-call service.

Experienced physiotherapist with highly specialist skills responsible for the physiotherapy management of patients presenting to the relevant service/team within the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.2.
To be the clinical lead physiotherapist responsible for a defined area of work as specified in Appendix 1 (where relevant).3.
To be an expert clinical resource for the physiotherapy management of patients presenting to the relevant specialty, both within the Trust and regionally, as required.4.
To represent the physiotherapy service as a clinical expert in initiatives both within and outside the Trust as requested by the Physiotherapy Services Manager or Physiotherapy Service Lead.5.
To be responsible for an individual caseload including prioritisation, assessment and management of patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions.
Relying on expert clinical judgement and using highly analytical skills, to determine clinical diagnosis and treatment.
To maintain records as a legally autonomous practitioner.6.
To provide a leadership role clinically, educationally, professionally and managerially.7.
To have an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the physiotherapy service provided to patients within and out-reaching from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.8.
To deputise for the Physiotherapy Operational Lead/Integrated Therapy Lead/Service Lead as required.9.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Diploma / degree in Physiotherapy Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (UK) Evidence of CPD, maintained in a portfolio showing CPD events/activity relevant to the clinical specialty Experience Essential Extensive post-qualification experience including significant experience at senior level in areas relevant to the clinical specialty.
Involvement in service improvement, audit, research and understanding quality issues Student, Physiotherapy Assistant or Physiotherapist direct supervision Skills Essential Proven clinical skills in relevant specialist areas Attitude, aptitude Essential Effective role model, demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values of People focussed, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence Demonstrates understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
