Job summary An opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join mental health service for older people Care Home Hub.The successful candidate will be an autonomous qualified physiotherapist providing assessment, treatment planning and provision for older people with Organic and functional mental health problems, who have complex physical and psychological needs.
Often these patients present with additional needs around frailty syndrome so you will be expected to assess using appropriate outcome measures and deliver physiotherapy specific interventions to address frailty syndrome.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will benefit from being part of a trust wide group of Physiotherapy staff working in TEWV, with guidance from Clinical Leads, Clinical Specialists and the Professional Head of Physiotherapy.Additional attractive features of this post includes flexitime working, a robust clinical supervision scheme, an excellent training & development programme, and supportive professional line management.

Often these patients present with additional needs around frailty syndrome so you will be expected to assess using appropriate outcome measures and deliver physiotherapy specific interventions to address frailty syndrome.You will be working closely with other professions in the inpatient MDT, contributing to daily teams huddle.
Significant post qualifying experience in Physiotherapy including experience working with older people with complex needs is essential.
Experience of working with patients with mental health needs is desirable.You will be HCPC registered.Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for further detailed information to ensure that you meet the role criteria before applying.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy with HCPC registration Registration with HCPC Evidence of current professional insurance cover Post-graduate training relevant to the post (or willing to undertake within agreed timescale) Accredited Clinical Educator (or willing to undertake within agreed timescale) Clinical Supervisory Skills course (or willing to undertake within agreed timescale) Trust training in Appraisal and Recruitment (within an agreed timescale) Numeracy, Literacy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent) Desirable Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Experience Essential Significant experience in Physiotherapy including experience working with service users in mental health or learning disabilities with complex needs.
Experience of developing and delivering training Skills Essential Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Manage own caseload and prioritise effectively
