Job summary Oncology Pharmacist Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital | Fixed Term Contract for one year | Full time Up to £55,770 per annum, depending on experience hours per week Main duties of the job Clinically screen all SACT prescription and process the planning and ordering of treatments for patients.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care for oncology patients.
Conduct medication reviews and provide personalized pharmaceutical care plans for oncology patients.
Manage and review chemotherapy and other oncology-related drug therapies.
Ensure the safe and effective use of oncology medications, including dose adjustments and monitoring for potential adverse effects.
Advice patients on the use of SACT medications, side effects counselling and supplementary medication.
Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals, providing up-to-date information on oncology medications and treatment protocols.
Educate patients and caregivers on the proper administration and management of oncology medications.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of oncology pharmacy policies, procedures and protocols.
Monitor and evaluate the quality and safety of oncology pharmacy services.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to enhance patient outcomes.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings.
Stay informed about the latest developments in oncology pharmacy practice through ongoing education and training.
Actively participate in professional organizations and conferences.

As an Oncology Pharmacist at our Oxford, The Manor Hospital, you'll be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and you'll have proven post-qualification experience.
It's also important that you have excellent communication and people skills, as you'll be working closely with our patients and a variety of clinical staff.
As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the following: Patient Care: Clinically screen all SACT prescription and process the planning and ordering of treatments for patients.
