Job summary The Royal Surrey County Hospital are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well established rotation.
We have fantastic opportunities for therapist who have completed their basic rotations who are looking to expand their knowledge, skills and experience within the acute setting.Whether you are an experienced therapist seeking a fresh challenge or a Band 5 ready to step up, this Band 6 role offers the opportunity to work at a high clinical standard, supervise junior staff and students, and contribute to service development.
Supported by and experienced Team Leads, you will join a collaborative, proactive team focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

A video about the Royal Surrey - Job description Job responsibilities Directly responsible for the management of own caseload of patients with diverse presentation and complex physical and psychological conditions, referred for Occupational Therapy assessment, rehabilitation, treatment planning and discharge management.Assists in the management of the specialist team providing, developing and planning an Occupational Therapy service to patients for this client group.
The post holder will act as a source of expertise, demonstrating and maintaining knowledge, skills and experience in this specialist role.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Diploma/degree in OT by recognised awarding body Royal College of Occupational therapists.
Must satisfy the criteria for full membership of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Further qualifications/study Driving licence (and use of own car for work purposes).
Desirable An approved Occupational Therapy supervisor for OT/PT degree students Knowledge and Skills Essential Knowledge of the role of Occupational Therapy for people with a wide range of physical dysfunction Previous experience relating to specialist area Experience of working in an acute hospital setting.
Knowledge of relevant NHS and SS legislation.
Experience with community/mental health conditions Desirable Experience of delivering teaching and training sessions
