Job summary Following a service review in November 2022, it was highlighted that the Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation centres would all benefit from the development of a network across the region to support services.
Collaborative working would ensure patients receive the best quality of care.
Health professionals and organisations from primary, secondary and tertiary care, working in a co-ordinated manner to reduce unwanted variation in access to services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and support the ongoing establishment of a new Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Network across the North East and Yorkshire.
The Network is looking for an excellent Education and Training Lead to join a relatively new and growing team.
The Network will provide strategic oversight and direction for local Spinal Cord Injuries services including the design, guidance, and promotion of optimal care pathways supporting patient flow across geographical systems and individual partnership organisations.
The post holder will actively co-ordinate, promote and contribute to inter professional learning activities across the Network and be an effective role model for best practice.
Main duties of the job The post holder will work alongside Trust's and community-based practice educator colleagues and clinical professionals in order to ensure equity of learning opportunities.
This will involve development of programmes of education and training in order to ensure a unified approach and delivery for spinal cord injury education for adults and children.
The post holder will be required to travel.

You will be expected to attend the following training sessions Your Leadership Impact Leading your Team to Success Leading Into the Future Service Improvement for Beginners Developing your Service Improvement Skills Lean Practitioner The leadership and improvement programme aims to: Explore leadership within the NHS Promote Trust values and behaviours Develop your leadership effectiveness and skills Equip staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead and complete service improvements within the scope of your role.
After you complete these six and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities.
We also offer a range of additional in-house and externally provided courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.

Qualifications and Training Essential oRegistered Clinical Professional oEducated to Masters level or equivalent knowledge/ or undergoing/willing to undertake a masters within 12 months of appointment oCan demonstrate a strong history of developing and producing education programmes.
oEvidence of continuing professional development within relevant field Desirable oPG Cert in Education or equivalent Experience Essential oRelevant acute experience oHighly developed presentation/ teaching skills oExperience and proven skills in clinical practice, education and training.
oIT skills - understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
