To support our expanding business, Magdalene is seeking an experienced Specialist Engineer in the UK.
Ideally you will be located close to either Wokingham or Warwickshire.

What will you be doing?
Working on a large, strategic account that is critical to both Magdalene and UK PLC, this role will take technical ownership of the Magdalene service, support management and provide inspired technical leadership to a team of highly skilled engineers.
It is essential that you can interface with all levels of management and account team members, both internally and within the customers business, providing a best in class level of support in, and where required, out of hours.
The role calls for the provision of data network expertise in the management and delivery of network installation with the ability to troubleshoot, resolved and monitor faults within a complex data network.
Whatwill your key responsibilities be?
Ability to act as the on-site technical expert/SME for Magdalene LAN/WAN technologies and point of contact for customer.
Operational Monitoring & Management of Voice/Data network and associated systems.
Provides 2nd line support to resolve user faults and carry out changes on the networks.
Provide technical and fault management capabilities, 2nd/3rd line support to resolve and assist in resolving network issues.
Be a part of a 2 nd /3 rd Line Technical Support & Delivery team focused on complex technical delivery activities supporting specific areas of Customer Services.
Complex delivery in line with customer SLAs Active participation in the customers governance cycles Accurate resource planning and forecasting Complex incident management (Technology and Solution based).
Root Cause analysis for major incidents and escalated faults.
Key competencies / Experience Knowledge and experience of LAN/WAN and Wireless LAN concepts, equipment (Cisco), including TCP/IP, MPLS, QoS, VLANs, Cisco Call Manager.
Knowledge of security best practices.
Extensive experience in an operational environment, preferably in a complex technology delivery role.
Broad Technology / Solution experience: Comprehensive knowledge within chosen primary technology field.
Strong knowledge of multi-technology Solutions.
A broad understanding of the other technologies these solutions are dependent on.
Good interpersonal skills sensitive to customers needs, and able to present complex information both internally and to the target customer.
Must have technical/ professional qualifications Full SC Security Clearance or the ability to obtain LAN/ WAN (Cisco CCNA) or 5 years experience.
Cisco Call Manager (CCNA) or 5 years experience.
