This is a permanent, part-time post of 14.
5 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 2 days over 7.Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics and HCPC essential.Car driver essential.A rare and exciting opportunity for a permanent 0.39wte Band 6 Enteral Feeding Dietitian for to join the Enteral Feeding Service, part of a friendly and enthusiastic community team based in the South Glasgow Quadrant of NHS GG&C.
To be a Specialist Dietitian for the Enteral Feeding Service across agreed localities within the boundaries of NHSGGC Community Dietetic Service, reporting to the Community Dietetic Team Leader – South Quadrant.
The post holder will:Support the discharge of complex patients on home enteral feeding that require urgent assessment and review to support patient discharge and prevention of avoidable hospital readmission.
Provide mentorship, education and training of the wider dietetic workforce to enable Community Dietitians to provide clinical support to patients on home enteral feeding.
Across NHSGGC there are in excess of 580 adult patients living at home on home enteral feeding.Be a clinical expert providing specialist dietetic clinical service, advice and support to patients and professionals on Enteral Feeding.Provide clinical specialist support and advice to Mental Health Dietitians in the management of mental health inpatients.Plan, organise and deliver a seamless service for patients on Enteral Feeding immediately following discharge from Adult Acute Dietetics Services to Community.Lead on change to clinical practice relating to enteral feeding.
Creating capacity and upskilling the wider dietetic workforce to implement change that supports the delivery of safe and effective patient care.Plan, organise and deliver nutrition education and training relating to Enteral Feeding for health care professionals, including medical and nursing staff from other agencies.Contribute to the further development of the Nutrition and Dietetic Service across NHSGGC.Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.
This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
