Job summary South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust PharmacyService seeks to recruit a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to work within ourIntegrated Medicines Management service.
The Pharmacy Service operates a seven-day clinical service and benefits from full electronic prescribing, electronicdecision support and care planning and automated dispensaries.
On Appointment you will join one of the clinicalteams to develop your specialist clinical practice, deliver IntegratedMedicines Management at the bedside and contribute to the ongoing training andsupervision of Band 6 pharmacists.
You will spend over 95% of your time ondirect patient care which will include clinical experience in admission anddischarge management, consultant ward rounds and supervising and training staffincluding trainee pharmacist mentoring.
You will support the Directorate LeadPharmacist(s) for your team in delivering and managing the IMM service in theDivisions of Medicine, Emergency Care, Surgery or Family Care includingPaediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care.
In addition you will have theopportunity to develop a specialist area of practice, or contribute to anexisting service, with attendance at clinics or multi-disciplinary teammeetings and the utilisation of independent prescribing skills.
Main duties of the job You will be a Registered Pharmacist with post-registration experience inclinical services, excellent team-working skills and have completed at leasttwo cycles of revalidation with the GPhC with at least 60 academic credits of post-graduateor equivalent study.
You will have a positive and flexible approach, clinically-focussed practice and the desire to develop specialist skills.
Support will begiven for professional development such as Independent Prescribing and advancedpractice clinical skills where appropriate.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Extensive post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy services.
MPharm or equivalent GPhC registration.
