Main duties of the job The Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team provides assessment, treatment and advice to children and young adults aged 0-19 with a wide range of needs.
We work in partnership with families, other health professionals and colleagues in education to maintain a holistic approach to the management of the child.
About us NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community.
Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible.
This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.

Person Specification Skills Essential Relevant post graduate experience and CPD Effective written and verbal communication skills Detailed knowledge of a range of assessments and therapeutic approaches for a broad range of children Desirable Experience of working in one or more specialist areas Experience Essential Relevant post graduate experience including working with chosen area of specialism Working as part of a multidisciplinary team Involving parents/carers in the therapy process Development, deliver and evaluation of training Desirable In depth experience of working with a range of different children, using a range of therapeutic approaches Experience of audit and service improvement Qualifications Essential Recognised SLT Degree or equivalent RCSLT member HCPC member Evidence of continuing professional development Desirable Attendance at CEN/ additional training course to further develop learning
