Job summary Hull University Teaching Hospitals (HUTH) are seeking a Band 6 Specialist Bariatric Dietitian to join our diverse team.
The post holder will gain experience working in a large busy acute teaching trust.The post holder will work alongside colleagues within gastroenterology dietetic team, and bariatrics service to support the timely delivery of nutritional interventions for those under the care of the bariatrics service, and those admitted to the gastroenterology wards.We are seeking someone who can adapt to a changing environment and work well within a team.
You will be expected to be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and build social networks working in partnership with other agencies.
Main duties of the job You must be a registered dietitian that has suitable previous experience working with complex patients and building links to community services.The role will require the post holder to undertake nutritional assessment and treatment of patients who may have highly complex and/or chronic presentation andwork closely with other members of the ward multidisciplinary teams (MDT).
This will include attendance where required at best interest meetings, ward rounds, MDT meetings and service improvement meetings (such as clinical governance).The dietetics department offers various development opportunities and can provide additional training.If you are looking for a challenging yet rewarding position, we would welcome your application.
