As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will assist in managing day-to-day classroom activities, providing personalised support, and adapting materials to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
Being a collaborative role, this position requires close cooperation with teachers, parents, and SEN coordinators.
Responsibilities of a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant: Support students with a range of special needs, adapting resources as needed Assist teachers in implementing personalised education plans Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with staff to ensure individualised learning Monitor and report on student progress to relevant staff Required Qualifications for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant: Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
