Key Responsibilities: Support the Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of a busy kitchen.
Assist with menu planning and creation, ensuring seasonal and local produce is used to its full potential.
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Assist with stock control, ordering, and maintaining cost efficiencies.
Help oversee event catering, ensuring smooth delivery of service during weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.
What Were Looking For: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and inspire a team.
Excellent knowledge of modern culinary techniques and trends.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet high standards of service.
Passion for creating top-quality dishes and a keen eye for detail.
Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in professional cookery).
A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and evenings.
