Sourcing Manager - Contract Logistics London, Hillingdon, United Kingdom | Kontraktlogistik | Vollzeit | JR2501_0012 Kuehne+Nagel is seeking talented Sourcing Managers to drive sustainable competitive advantage by implementing best practices in procurement.
Your Role With responsibility for a broad range of services and a requirement for interaction with a variety of stakeholders across all disciplines up to board level within the organisation, this role will provide an excellent opportunity for an individual who, as well as subject matter expertise and experience, is able to demonstrate leadership, and the ability to drive a focus on compliance with relevant legislation and customer requirements, including but not limited to GDPR, IR35, Modern Slavery and Anti-trust legislation.
This will include the development, documentation and communication of effective policies and systems to minimise the likelihood of non-compliance and mitigate the risk of significant fines and reputational damage to Kuehne + Nagel.
The jobholder will also be expected to collaborate and align with members of the Regional/Global procurement community and, where appropriate, take the lead on defining & implementing regional/global strategy for specific sub-category spend areas.
As a senior role-holder within the function, the incumbent will also support the Head of Procurement in cross-departmental responsibilities.
Your Responsibilities Engagement with a broad and diverse community of stakeholders Requires subject matter expertise across various supply markets Proactive mitigation/containment of significant risks in goods and services provision Emphasis on legal compliance, risk & reputation management, employee satisfaction & retention Spend management including make vs. buy, cost vs. risk, benchmarking of rates, tendering, negotiation, contract performance management, and billing validation Full ownership of category strategies for specific spend areas (People, Professional Services and Couriers) Address challenges such as supplier auditing (Agency Labour) and SRM (Critical and Bottleneck suppliers) Adapt to ongoing legislative changes (IR35, AWR, WTD, GDPR) Your Skills and Experiences Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically in People and/or Professional Services, Couriers Minimum 1 year of experience in project management Proficiency in MS Office Confidence, tact, and assertiveness in dealing with senior stakeholders; effective listening and influencing skills; conflict resolution capabilities Legislative awareness; strategic thinking and forward planning; deal making (negotiation/repackaging of offers/proposals) Decision making and decisiveness; time management and prioritization; proactive approach Attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities
