We are looking for an experiencedcommunity Sonographer who has the skills, knowledge, and experience tocoordinate and provide holistic outpatient diagnostic sonography testing to patients.
They will independently perform and report ultrasound examinations inclusive of general abdominal, gynaecological, renal and vascular, and MSK scanning and workas part of team of sonographers manage all aspects of the day to day running of the ultrasound service to ensure service excellence.This job is suitable forindividuals have a passion for working in an agile manner ensuring ahigh-quality service is provided.

Support the Lead Sonographer in the provision of a professional ultrasound service Perform and report independently on a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
Dependent on qualifications this may include renal, abdominal, Doppler, gynaecological and some small parts scans Produce appropriate written reports for the medical profession and keep accurate records using a combination of CRIS, Viewpoint, SystmOne & PACS Communicate potentially distressing diagnoses directly to patients and refer accordingly.

Ultrasound experience with 900 ultrasound scans performed and reported in the last 12 months.
Non-Obstetric Ultrasound with experience of performing the following scans: Abdominal.
Gynaecology - Transvaginal.
Renal/ prostate.
Scrotal/testicular.
Musculoskeletal.
Doppler ultrasound experience.
Qualifications Essential Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound Certificate / Diploma from the College of Radiographers in Medical Ultrasound or an equivalent international qualification Skills Essential Observational and analytical skills for interpreting, reporting and assisting diagnosis of a range of conditions seen on a Scan.
Ability to take initiative to make decisions or recommendations for the best interests of patients.
Use judgement to change/discuss requests from referrers within clinical and national guidelines.
Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
Attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise Ability to prioritise and organise unpredictable workload effectively.
Ability to interact successfully with fellow health care professionals and to organise and supervise assisting staff.
