Job summary Diagnostic World are recruiting for experienced, non-obstetric Sonographers, who are hardworking and motivated to help deliver continuous growth to the company as it continues to achieve ambitious growth plans over the next few years with a focus on building a high quality, patient centric service.We have opportunities for Sonographers who can commute between clinics based in Leicester.The working hours for this role are flexible and can be completed between 8am-8pm Monday to Sunday.
Main duties of the job As our Sonographer, the duties and responsibilities you will have to provide are:To provide general abdominal, pelvic, small parts, lumps and bumps, and vascular ultrasound scanning services in conjunction with other Sonographers and healthcare professionals.
The ability to scan MSK too would be advantageous.
To independently perform ultrasound scanning duties to the required standards of Diagnostic World and client partners and to produce a clinical report for each ultrasound scan undertaken.
To undertake any administrative duties that may be necessary for speedy progression of patients and patient results.
To actively participate in matters concerning clinical governance, clinical audit and assessment.
To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).
To adhere to company policy and procedures in terms of health and safety, data protection and confidentiality.
To give full co-operation in any investigations of a complaint or untoward incident and comply with company procedure to that effect.
To ensure that professional and technical knowledge/expertise is kept up to date and to maintain a portfolio to show evidence of personal professional development.
To participate in individual performance review (appraisal) on an annual basis.

To participate in individual performance review (appraisal) on an annual basis.To be considered you will have the following requirements:Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent Overseas qualification equivalent to Pg Dip Registered with the HCPC and SOR or RCT 2 years post qualification experience gained in NHS trust practice To be able to work proficiently in all main areas of Ultrasound practice Eligibility to reside and work in the UK we welcome Tier 2 applicantsAll appointments are subject to satisfactory references, DBS and occupational health Clearance being obtained.
