Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to work based on site or at one of our community sites as part of the Royal Surrey Hospital NHS Foundation Trust radiology team.
We currently have opportunities at Cranleigh Village Hospital, Haslemere district hospital or Milford community Hospital as well as opportunities at the main royal surrey site.We are currently seeking a proactive, patient focused and dedicated sonographer to work alongside a friendly, supportive and expanding team.
The successful candidate will be working as part of a highly driven and professional integrated group including radiologists, specialist MSK sonographers, HCA's and RDA's.
The successful candidate would have the choice of being based working at the RSCH to include rotational shifts through all community centers, or be based permanently at one of the community sites.Applicants must have the relevant qualifications DMU/PgC/PgD in medical ultrasound and HCPC registration and ideally 1 year experience post qualification as working in an NHS environment.
Support would be available remotely from RSCH leadership team.
There may be occasional training days when you would be required to attend the main site in Guildford.Full time, part-time and flexible working opportunities will be considered.
Main duties of the job The department undertakes examinations in abdominal, gynecology, pediatric, small parts, head and neck, MSK, some vascular examinations.
We contribute to several one-stop clinics ensuring our patients receive a first class service.
There is ongoing student training within the department.
The successful candidate would be expected to be able to scan independently abdominal, renal and gynecology.All sites consist of well-appointed ultrasound rooms ergonomically equipped to include state of the art ultrasound scanners.
GE Logic 10 R3 scanners are used throughout radiology and community sites.. CRIS and SECTRA PACS radiology systems are in use.
All community sites have an x-ray room with a team on radiographers working alongside.We are keen to develop individuals to their full potential and committed to supporting CPD and leadership opportunities.
Educational half days are fully utilized for in-house training.

PgD preferable.
Knowledge Essential Preferably 1 year post degree or equivalent qualification, however newly qualified Sonographers will be considered Previous experience of working in an NHS setting Previous experience in working in a general district hospital Desirable Attend specialist short Courses/seminars
