Job Introduction Calling the most talented Sommeliers in London!Sodexo Live!
are thrilled to announce that we are seeking a talented and dynamic Sommelier to join our team at London's newest destination venue -  Fulham Pier!As the Sommelier, you will be responsible for crafting an exceptional wine experience for our guests.
This will include curating and developing an extensive wine list that reflects diverse preferences and tastes, from casual to fine dining.You will engage with guests to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations that enhance their dining experience.At Fulham Pier, we attract a varied clientele with different tastes, so it's essential that you're able to adapt to changing needs and stay current with industry trends.You will be the first person to hold this position, having the opportunity to showcase your talents in this brand new space.
Fulham Pier will become the heart of the community and the standard bearer for indulgent experiences, which will attract locals, Londoner's and tourist from all over the world.We are exceptional hosts and independent champions, curating authentic brands that are dreamed up and run with passion.
We have a remarkable selection of food and drink experiences, ranging from, pop-up bars and pop-up dining events, to elegant fine dining experiences.
Our entertainment options are as exceptional as our dining experiences, and we cater for all tastes and moods.
We offer local theatre, outdoor gigs, jazz clubs, an art gallery, cooking classes, a comedy club, book launches, film nights and water sports, to name but a few.

Main ResponsibilitiesDevelop, curate, and maintain a comprehensive wine list that reflects both popular and rare selections, balancing classic and contemporary preferences.Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend wines that complement their meals and elevate their dining experience.Conduct regular tastings and training for staff to ensure knowledgeable wine service across the team.Maintain stock levels, manage orders with suppliers, and ensure the wine cellar is well-organized, upholding health and safety standards.Promote the wine program through events, tastings, and collaborations with chefs to highlight wine pairings.Innovate and refresh the wine list to keep it in line with current trends and seasonal offerings.Maintain an organized and efficient wine cellar, ensuring accurate stock levels and effective inventory management.Support the brand's overall atmosphere by contributing to a memorable dining experience.The Ideal CandidateIt is essential that you have previous experience of working as a Sommelier in a high end establishment.
You will have the ability to adapt to changing customer preferences and stay updated with industry trends, ensuring a wine offering that is dynamic, high-quality, and tailored to different dining experiences.You will have a string background in delivering a high level of guest satisfaction through expert wine recommendations and a polished service experience.You will have the confidence and panache to practice your craft in a way that contributes to the overall atmosphere of Fulham Pier, providing an elegant and remarkable experience for all guests.You will also have:Strong knowledge of international wines, varietals, and pairing techniques.Exceptional customer service and communication skills, deep knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and food pairings, along with strong organizational abilities.WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 3 or similar certification.Familiarity with industry trends and wine innovations.Strong customer service abilities.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and impress guests through a personalised bar experience.What we offerWe offer a salary of up to £40,000 plus excellent benefits that include:TRONCEmployer pension contributionLife assuranceWe're experience makers and food fanatics.
