Join us as a Solutions Architect at Barclays where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence.
You'll harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionise our digital offerings, ensuring unapparelled customer experiences.
The key accountabilities for this role include: Engagement with business analysists, stakeholders, developers, and project managers to refine and clarify functional and non-functional requirements.
Production of solution architecture documentation describing Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technical infrastructure Architecture, Cyber security factors and Data Architecture Engagement to internal standards teams to confirm and validate solution compliance with standards around things like data lineage, cyber security, and architectural best practices.
Engagement with solutions architects, architects and tech leads to define boarder strategies and roadmaps that will facilitate multi year and multi project programmes.
Support development teams to grow talent and guide developers on the importance and impact sound architecture to create more robust, performant and extensible systems To be successful in this role you should have experience with: Architecture and Design Can create scalable, flexible, efficient, and secure solution architecture deliverables that meet business requirements, align with Enterprise Architecture Roadmaps and industry best practices.
Ability to create clear Solution Architecture diagrams and deliverable that are easy to understand.
Ability to create different architectural views and diagrams for Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technical infrastructure Architecture and Data Architecture.
Technical Capability Can demonstrate deep understanding of multiple technologies, design patterns and programming languages .
Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, data modelling, network architecture, and software development.
Can review and provide feedback on application designs from component teams to ensure alignment to Solutions Architecture Requirement Analysis, Problem Solving Can analyse complex business problems, requirements and determine business goals and root causes of problems.
Ability to create effective solutions that meet business requirements and project timescales.
Communication & Collaboration Can communicate effectively and to work collaboratively across multiple functional component teams and with different stakeholders e.g., senior business stakeholders, process experts, business analysts, component teams, developers, project managers and enterprise architects.
Can translate technical concepts into easily understood Solution designs and present these persuasively to stakeholders and architecture review boards Some other highly valued skills include: Experience in financial services industry Ability to create lower-level Application Architecture deliverables including technology stack, sequence diagrams, State diagrams, data models etc.
Knowledge of Visio and Data/Entity Modelling Knowledge of Container platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as strong experience in the ability to create different architectural views for e.g.
business or technical infrastructure, create effective solutions that meet project timelines, the ability to communicate across multiple component teams and proficiency in cloud computing platforms as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role will be based out of our Northampton or Radbroke campus Purpose of the role To collaborate with stakeholders and use data and MI to identify process optimisation opportunities for capacity creation in relevant business areas.
Accountabilities Development and implementation of strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of banking operations, using data led insights.
Participation in projects and initiatives to improve performance & optimisation efficiency and effectiveness.
Development of reports and presentations on performance & optimisation and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
Identification of industry trends and developments, and collaboration with stakeholders across the bank to provide recommendations for change and improvement within performance and optimisation processes.
Development and implementation of analytics and reporting performance & optimisation to mitigate risks and maintain efficient operations.
Identification of capacity creation in operations using data and Management Information.
Vice President Expectations Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem solving processes.
Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
