Glasgow (Hybrid, 3 days a week on-site in Glasgow)
This opportunity within the wider Enterprise Architecture team is for a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect.
This role focuses on defining, implementing, and promoting robust architecture patterns to support scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in solution and enterprise architecture, experience in Investment Banking, and a strong foundation in designing complex, distributed systems.
To progress in this role candidates must be able to demonstrate their abilities through participating in several major projects where they were the main contributor to solutions architecture patterns involving event-driven architecture, bulk data movement, cloud-native services, and secure data handling.
Within this Solutions Architecture post, role responsibilities will include: Contributing to complex, distributed enterprise solutions.Leading the development, documentation, and ratification of architecture patterns.Focusing on successful patterns on event-driven architecture, bulk data movement, cloud-native services, and secure data handling.Being the SME for supporting and coaching others in implementing these patterns effectively.Owning the adoption of patterns and best practices ensuring consistency and alignment with enterprise standards.Participating in architecture communities to foster knowledge-sharing and innovation.Championing the latest architecture and technology trends.Producing and presenting solutions for approval.To be successful in this Solutions Architecture role, candidates must demonstrate: A proven track record over multiple years in Solutions Architecture within enterprise financial services.A deep demonstrable understanding of architecture patterns, balancing scalability, cost, performance, and security.Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex architectural ideas to diverse stakeholders.Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills.A hands-on approach to technology solutions, demonstrating proficiency and knowledge in programming languages.Holding certification in Architecture; The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Certified Scrum Master (SCM) or similar.Holding certifications in cloud architecture (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, etc.
).Familiarity with continuous improvement and Agile lead environments.A proven track record in taking ownership from problem analysis, logical solution provision, through to technical solutions delivery.Ability to influence the design and architecture of complex enterprise applications.***Please note the hybrid working model of 3 days on-site weekly will require candidates to be based within an easily commutable distance of Glasgow.
Reward In return, our client offers strong PAYE rates circa £600 - £800 per day PAYE DOE.

Initially a 12-month assignment, further extensions are highly likely.
