You'll have an impact on bringing digital-first banking to our customers by defining the future state architecture vision and strategies for our Global Businesses and Global Functions.
You'll be developing business, data, software, and integration architecture standards to manage processes, systems, and technology complexity across the HSBC Group.
Through dynamic, agile collaboration you'll work closely with business partners to translate their requirements into integrated solutions that can be deployed globally using consistent service patterns for ease of deployment, support, and enhancement.
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to assist our Group Data Ingestion Services team within Group Data Technology.
Prime focus will be to lead the ongoing design and architecture of Kinisi the replacement for the existing bank standard ingestion framework Juniper in alignment with the Product Owner.
The ideal candidate will be a hands on architect with demonstrable experience in open source data products.

In this role you will: • Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively.
• Knowledge of an Enterprise Architecture framework, e.g.
TOGAF, Zachman • A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications.
• Preferably with a background on banking domain.
• Very good analysis and trouble shooting skills.
• Self-motivated individual with proven track of contribution in organization wide initiatives.
• Ability to recommend designs that address data localization challenges.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: • Architect and design solutions utilizing open source data technologies including NiFi, Kakfa and Spark associated technologies, with a focus on the Open Distribution Platform • Supervise the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Monitor performance and advise necessary infrastructure changes.
• Hands-on experience with related/complementary open-source software platforms and languages This role is based in Leeds.
