Contributing to the success of our projects by ensuring that solutions meet client needs, align with infrastructure standards, and fit within the broader system architecture.
In this role, you'll review infrastructure and software designs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive forward pragmatic solutions within the SAFe Agile framework.
The core system is a bespoke, in-house solution, alongside other customised applications designed to support our client's unique requirements.
Responsibilities: • Engage with client personnel to understand challenges, support the CGI response, and build effective solutions.
• Collaborate with each Agile team's Architect, reviewing and refining proposed solutions to ensure they meet both client needs and technical standards.
• Produce and review detailed design documentation, including High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLDs/LLDs) as well as build and test documentation.
• Review design, test, and implementation plans as directed, ensuring solutions align with broader project goals and infrastructure standards.
• Partner with Infrastructure Engineers on upcoming changes, overseeing the process to align with project objectives.
• Take ownership of project deliverables and engage across teams to ensure goals are met.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role Essential: • Technical Documentation: Proficient in creating and reviewing clear, detailed technical documentation.
• Enterprise Systems Experience: Proven experience with large-scale, enterprise systems.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a dispersed team environment.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrates strong analytical skills, with a willingness to challenge and propose alternative solutions.
Desirable: • Business Analysis Skills: Experience gathering requirements and interpreting business needs.
• RAID Log Management: Ability to maintain and manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) logs.
• Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with infrastructure elements (firewalls, switches, SANs, load balancers, etc.).
• SQL Proficiency: Experience with SQL, preferably SQL Server.
• Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with SANs, McAfee, NetBackup, WSUS, and general platform technologies.
• Windows and Active Directory: Competence with Windows environments and Active Directory management.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has a background in Systems Analysis, with broad technical expertise in both infrastructure and software.
You bring a solutions-oriented approach, are comfortable working across technical and business domains, and can communicate effectively with both clients and technical teams.
While hands-on work is part of your background, your focus will be on reviewing, guiding, and ensuring delivery meets expectations.
Work Environment: You'll need to live within commuting distance of our designated offices (Leatherhead, Bridgend, or Reading) and attend in-office 2-3 days per week.
