Solid Fuel Heating Engineer Trainee Location: Hitchin Monday to Friday Salary:£27000 Driver Hire Stevenage & Hatfield are recruiting a Solid Fuel Heating Engineer trainee for a locally based company.
Duties will be: To assist with solid fuel heating appliance installation, fireplace, twin wall, hearth, mantel, flexible liner and surrounding fitting.
Including work on ladders and on the roof.
Excavation work and making good.
Dealing with customers and driving to different locations.
After 3 months probationary period working unsupervised.
Driving to and cleaning of chimneys up to HETAS requirements using company equipment at customer locations.
Collection of payments form customer and advising of any further maintenance needed.
Roof work and work from ladders & scaffolding.
Recording of sweep data for chimney sweep certification using electronic device.
Job Tasks: Cleaning interior & exterior of company vehicle General labouring & building work at ground & roof level Repairing of & attaching items to chimney pot Lifting of heavy equipment and items Stock taking Payment handling Maintenance of wood burning and multifuel stoves Removal of equipment to overnight storage Sweeping of chimneys & flues completion of all paperwork Cleaning of wood burning and multifuel stoves and surrounding areas Completion of risk assessment and H&S paperwork Full training will be provided, a driving licence is essential and good communication.
