Solicitor Worcester based with a balance of home and office working £47,658 - £50,166 per year 35 hours per week We have an opportunity for a Solicitor to join our Housing Litigation team, based in Worcester.
The current Housing Litigation Team comprises of 10 and runs pre-action and litigated claims including housing conditions/disrepair, possession, and injunctions.
The Housing Litigation team is part of the wider large Legal & Governance Department of Corporate Services.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and collaborative approach.
The role of Solicitor will include: Running a caseload of housing management litigated claims for and against the Group which includes possession claims, injunction applications and housing conditions issued claims Providing advice to the business on housing matters Provide support to the senior team within Legal Services in overseeing the in house Housing team Ensure that legal services are delivered in a cost effective way that limit risk to the Group Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be a "go to" person Skills and experiences: Qualified Solicitor (PQE 5+) or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives Excellent working knowledge of housing law and the civil procedure rules Ability to apply relevant legal principles and factual circumstances to find solutions to issues Excellent drafting of statements of case and witness statements Excellent research skills Civil litigation experience and excellent working knowledge of the civil procedure rules and fast track Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams Why work for us?
