As a Solar PV Technical Design Engineer , you'll play a pivotal role in designing, specifying, and commissioning commercial and industrial Solar PV installations.
Collaborating with Sales, Development, Engineers, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams, you'll ensure the delivery of top-tier system designs.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design of Solar PV systems, including shading analysis, 3D modelling, electrical diagrams, and connection layouts using AutoCAD.
Optimize PV system performance through computer simulations.
Review and approve designs, making technical recommendations to improve efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with the supply chain to select components for PV projects.
Effectively communicate system designs to clients and stakeholders.
Work cross-functionally with internal teams to meet client needs and project deadlines.
Adhere to safety standards and develop new processes as needed.
What We're Looking For Proven experience in designing both rooftop and ground-mounted PV systems.
Strong knowledge of PV components and manufacturers.
Proficiency in software tools like MS Office, AutoCAD, PV*SOL/PVSyst, and the ability to learn new tools.
Understanding of HSSE regulations and experience in CDM responsibilities.
Knowledge of DNO G99 applications.
Full UK/EU driving license.
Desired Qualifications Engineering qualification (Degree/HNC or equivalent).
Familiarity with LV and HV electrical works related to PV projects.
A strong understanding of the commercial impact of engineering activities.
