Solar Design Manager - Solar & BESS - Commercial & Industrial D R Newitt are partnered with an exciting start-up within the Solar & BESS industry who are looking for an experienced Solar Designer to help drive them forward & work closely alongside the founder.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a business with a founder who has a proven background in growing & developing a Renewable Energy solutions provider to a market leader in the UK.
In your new role you will be responsible for: Developing detailed designs for renewable energy systems with a particular focus on large scale commercial alongside medium sized ground mount solar projects, considering factors such as energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
Optimise existing renewable energy system designs to enhance performance and reliability.
Ensure designs comply with all LPA and UK planning regulations related to renewable energy systems across Solar and BESS.
Manage the grid application process for new and existing projects.
Essential Qualifications & Skills: 3-5 Years experience in the design of large scale Solar or Battery Storage projects in the UK.
Understanding of energy generation, storage systems, management systems, and the energy market in UK.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree is advantageous.
Excellent proficiency in design and simulation software(s) such as PVSol, PVSyst, AutoCAD, PSCAD, Matlab or equivalent used in the UK renewable energy sector.
