Software Test Engineer Job Summary: As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing embedded product software and target device applications for audio products.
You will develop and run test plans for customer acceptance testing, partner compliance, supporting software releases into production and the field.
The role requires working from initial software specifications, resolving inconsistencies and issues without supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Develop software test plans for testing audio products, resolving inconsistencies and issues without supervision.
Work closely with the Software development team.
Run and record tests to prove compliance of software to specification.
Interface with software developers and other teams to resolve issues and improve quality.
Contribute to the development of cutting-edge features and platforms as well as regression work with existing products.
Assist the production team with their requirements and software releases as necessary.
Plan software development and regression test times and feed back to manager.
Support compliance requirements, including working with third party test houses and compliance hardware/software engineers.
Collaborate with technical support and sales teams on software queries and training with current and new audio products in the streaming range.
Requirements: Degree qualified in an audio or engineering discipline (preferred).
ISTQB certification is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proven experience in software testing (minimum 2 years).
Familiarity with networking and serial debugging.
Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
