Software Engineering Manager - Edinburgh - x2 days per week in office Harvey Nash are delighted to be working exclusively with a global FinTech client as they look to hire an Engineering Manager to head up a business critical team, vital to their day to day operations.

Their business is built on data and giving their clients the information they need to make informed decisions on their investments.
Since their arrival in Edinburgh 2021 they have grown to over 100 headcount and made the office a vital hub within the organisation.
We are looking for This role is for a hands on Engineering Manager who can lead a highly available and impactful team of Software Engineers.
You will have direct line management responsibility for circa 5 people and will still be required to be hands on occasionally, so it's imperative this person has come from an engineering background.
A solid grounding in data, financial or otherwise, would also be of great interest.
You do not necessarily have to come from a financial services background, but if you have had exposure to investment banking or wealth management software we would love to hear from you.
The core language of this team is Python, hosted in AWS, but we would also be keen to speak to people with a Java background particularly if you can demonstrate knowledge of data ingestion and pipelines.
You will have Demonstrable experience leading teams of engineers, distributed or otherwise and excellent communication skills An excellent track record in a hands on software engineering role prior to moving into leadership The desire to solve complex problems, quickly, in a constantly evolving environment.
The salary and overall compensation for this role are market leading for the Edinburgh market and this role will require a minimum of two days per week in office.
