About our team: Our team operates in squads, each consisting of a Squad Lead, Business Analyst, Dev Lead, Developers, and Testers.

About the role: This position serves as a Software Engineering lead for a specific team of Software Engineers.
In addition to writing code on complex systems and applications, this position has direct responsibilities for delivery and line management of core engineering roles within their team.
Responsibilities Working closely with other Development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designsImplementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviewsOperating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
while collaborating with key stakeholdersCompleting complex bug fixes, resolving technical issues, and working with complex data modelsManaging your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, and giving appropriate feedbackProviding accurate effort and cost estimates for deliverablesEncouraging new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations and empowering them to be accountableSeeking diverse ideas and perspectives from a variety of sources to create better solutions, products and servicesRequirements Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audienceHave the ability to partner with and lead internal and external technology resources to solve business needsHave good knowledge of test-driven development/BDD testing Frameworks Junit, Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin and industry best practicesEffective monitoring, alerting and visualization (Kibana, Elasticsearch)Have an excellent understanding of data modeling principles, data manipulation languages, and storage systemsBe an expert in development languages Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kafka/SQS and Microservices.Show an aptitude for achieving business objectives through managing othersBe able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, and be able to think analyticallyBe a natural problem solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issuesAt LexisNexis Risk Solutions, having diverse employees with different perspectives is key to creating innovative new products for our global customers.
