Software Engineer (.Net)

Job Description We are seeking a versatile and skilled UI/UX Designer. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and refining the experience and journeys on our platform and application services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and best practice.
This hands-on role requires familiarity with design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and Figma.
A background in agile delivery methods, focus groups, user testing, engagement metrics and rapid software iterations is essential.
Please note as this role is a key part of a tech start up we are looking for someone who is happy to be onsite with us 5 days per week to begin with with a view to hybrid working.
You will sit across multiple development teams as a specialist resource.
Key Responsibilities UX : Understanding the needs : Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user behaviours and needs.
Defining the experience : Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to represent user flows and product functionalities.
Rapid iteration and validation of concepts : Develop interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and users.
Maintain Visibility : Collaborate with product managers and developers to define the overall user experience and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Audit and refine the experience: Analyse and iterate designs based on user feedback and analytics UI : Ability to design exceptional user interfaces with consideration for differing user journeys and personas Oversight of design language: Ensure a consistent and appropriate design language is applied across the entire platform and its journeys Collaboration & Communication : Participate in agile ceremonies : Engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure effective and efficient development cycles.
Collaborate with team members to refine requirements, estimate tasks, and plan sprints.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams : Work closely with product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field.
Experience : Proven experience as a senior UI/UX Designer in a tech start-up or fast-paced environment.
Experience designing for mobile-first and responsive web design.
An understanding of design trends and enterprise patterns, i.e.
material design, atomic design or in designing component libraries.
A current grasp of accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and useability practices Technical Skills : Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) Figma Strong knowledge of supporting tools like Google Analytics & Jira.
Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
