Role Overview Software Engineer in Test Chester - 2 days per week £30,000 - £45,000 Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) My client is seeking an SDET to collaborate with development and product teams to design, build, and optimize automated testing solutions.
This role focuses on automating feature and regression tests, integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage for critical applications.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in testing best practices and software development, helping to deliver high-quality, resilient software.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for feature and regression testing.
Automate technical and business testing across cloud applications.
Create unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) automated test suites.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thorough test coverage.
Integrate test automation into CI/CD for continuous testing.
Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback.
Document test strategies, processes, and results.
Required Experience Proven experience as an SDET or automation engineer in a fast-paced technical environment.
Proficient in a high-level programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
Skilled in unit and integration testing.
Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience in designing E2E tests across platforms.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience Automation experience with Python and JavaScript.
Experience with automated testing for React applications.
Testing experience for iOS/Android using tools like Appium.
Knowledge of Salesforce development, especially with Commerce Cloud, SFRA, and MRT.
