We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Data and Application Integration Team within our Data department.
This role supports the RNLI by developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and service-orientated solutions to ensure reliable and efficient communication between systems or data stores.
Some of the benefits - Salary £49,492 to £58,226 (dependent on experience) - Flexible working - 26 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays - Outstanding pension scheme (contributions of up to 16% of basic salary) - Life assurance - Health and dental cashplan Your role As a Software Engineer specialising in a SOA approach, you will focus on the following areas: - Developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and service-oriented solutions to ensure reliable and efficient communication between systems.
- Implementing and optimising messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus.
- Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate solutions into the broader data ecosystem.
- Monitoring and optimising the performance of production systems, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Providing technical support and guidance to other team members on best practices for a SOA approach.
About you Youll be a technology or change specialist with a solid background in data and/or the design and development of end-to-end data-centric solutions.
You should have good communication skills and an enthusiasm for knowledge growth.
You will also be used to working with non-technical people on one side and technicians on the other.
To be considered as our Software Engineer, you will need: - Significant experience with SOA, Azure Service Bus, and/or data integration.
- Practical experience in developing, supporting and deploying integration solutions.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
