Junior SDET Engineer London Victoria Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Junior Playwright Automation Engineer to join our growing quality assurance and automation team.
This role is ideal for a motivated individual with at least two years of experience in automation testing using Playwright or similar frameworks.
You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software by developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand project requirements and define test automation strategies.Maintain and update existing automation frameworks to ensure robust and scalable test coverage.Perform root cause analysis of test failures and report defects to development teams.Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure alignment of testing efforts with project goals.Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines by integrating automated tests.Document test plans, test cases, and test results in accordance with company standards.Provide feedback on usability and suggest improvements to enhance the overall user experience.Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience in test automation using Playwright or a similar end-to-end testing framework.Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions).Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Desirable Skills: Experience in performance and load testing.Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, etc.
