Software Application ArchitectLocation: Nottingham
Team: Risk Intelligence Product EngineeringRole Description: We are excited to welcome a Software Application Architect to our Risk Intelligence Product Engineering team!
This role works with the Engineering Manager and collaborates with Global Product Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities: We need you to design and lead all aspects of the architecture of our cloud-based products, ensuring they meet our standards.
You will handle the software lifecycle from design to retirement and act as a technical expert on changes.
Additionally, you will mentor engineering staff and support the Product Engineering function.
Main Responsibilities: As a Software Application Architect, you will develop technical solutions that meet our business goals, from selection to end-of-life.
You will work with our business partners to align application development with our architecture strategy and create detailed architecture designs.
You will represent our products and technology in the Risk Intelligence Architecture Practice, identify and resolve complex technical issues, and communicate our technical vision and its impact on the business.
Additionally, you will provide technical training and presentations, ensuring key quality requirements are met, including availability, security, and performance.
You will also maintain alignment with our standards in Cyber Security, Compliance, Cloud, and Development.

You can solve issues quickly and lead teams to develop solutions.
You are experienced in managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Essential Skills/Experience: You should have extensive experience in Software or Cloud Architecture.
Proficiency in key technologies such as AWS Cloud Native architecture, JSON, RESTful APIs, microservices, Python, secure systems, and high-performance databases is essential.
You have experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available solutions.
A proven ability to lead complex projects and work with our business partners is crucial.
Strong interpersonal skills to work across our technical and business teams, experience working with vendors, and driving technological innovation are also essential.
Additionally, you should have an understanding of GDPR compliance and relevant security toolsets.
Desired Skills/Experience: Knowledge of risk management, customer and third-party risk, and the regulatory marketplace is desired.
Education/Certifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience is required.
Extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale systems for enterprise use is also necessary.
