They are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join their faculty in a fulltime permanent capacity starting this September.
Position Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a highquality Sociology curriculum to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
The role entails: Designing and delivering engaging and thoughtprovoking Sociology lessons that align with the national curriculum and schools educational philosophy.
Creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking debate and exploration of complex societal issues.
Assessing and monitoring student progress providing constructive feedback and implementing personalized learning strategies.
Collaborating with colleagues within the Social Sciences department and across the wider school community to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
Engaging in continuous professional development to stay abreast of current sociological research and pedagogical approaches.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess: A Bachelors degree or higher in Sociology or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
Demonstrated experience teaching Sociology at the secondary level preferably across Key Stages 4 and 5.
A passion for Sociology and the ability to inspire students to develop a critical understanding of the social world.
Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
The ability to work collaboratively and independently.
