Support and Protect Social Worker Location: Workington, UK Salary: £50 per hour Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Support and Protect Social Worker to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, providing essential support services, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
This is a hybrid role, offering a balance between in-office presence and the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities: Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments of client's needs and circumstances.
Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals and families in urgent situations.
Safeguarding: Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and protection of vulnerable children and adults.
Work within legal frameworks and local safeguarding policies to manage risks and promote welfare.
Liaise with other agencies and professionals to coordinate safeguarding efforts.
Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Regularly review and adjust care plans to reflect changing needs and circumstances.
Ensure timely and appropriate service delivery in accordance with best practice guidelines.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and law enforcement.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between agencies and families.
Attend and contribute to meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings as required.
Support and Advocacy: Provide emotional and practical support to clients and their families.
Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the necessary services and resources.
Empower clients to make informed decisions and take control of their lives.
Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience in a social work role, preferably within a support and protection context.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
