CISSO, providing a service to people from East, West and Midlothian, Edinburgh, and the Scottish Borders, is a specialist team contributing towards community safety and the protection of children and adults through: Case consultation for justice social work staff; Providing a range of group interventions; Joint assessments and interventions, with justice staff, where groupwork is not appropriate; Providing training for justice social work and other professional staff groups; Providing consultation, advice and contributing to court and other assessment reports.

We offer a high level of training to support continuous professional development and to deliver a broad range of interventions, including established, accredited, group work programmes.
We are implementing Trauma Informed Practice, Safe & Together™ and Restorative Justice practice models and interventions across our services, and have established a Women's Centre, in partnership with NHS Lothian, to reduce barriers and meet the needs of women involved in the justice system.
