Scale 29 - £38,626 to Scale 34 - £43,693 with a professional bar at SCP 31 £40,476** Hours Per Week: 36 Hours Base Location: Tameside One, Market Place, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, OL6 6BH Assessment Date : To be arranged The Role An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen within Tameside to work alongside the Community Mental Health Teams for Social Workers / AMHPs to join us in working to provide social care to people who have moderate to severe mental health problems across a wide range of presenting conditions.
The posts will work with the CMHTs in Tameside.
The post will be supporting the councils obligation to the Care Act, completing assessments, funding applications, copdols, 21a challenges and other statutory responsibilities as well as providing mental health support to the residents of Tameside.
You will also work with children that are turning 16 and transitioning from children's services that has a Mental health need.

You will be supported by clinical and management supervision and will be given the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills, through a personal development and training plan.
There is an expectation that you will either work towards your Approved Mental Health Profession qualification or if you are already an AMHP then you will participate in the AMHP Rota usually around 2-4 duties per month and will receive an attractive allowance for this.
About You As a mental health Social worker, you will be responsible for the, commissioning and personal delivery of individual packages of care for a caseload of service users within our mental Health service and partaking in court work.
Key Requirements of the Person Specification: Qualified Social Worker with appropriate experience in a relevant area of adult social care and mental health practice.
Current driving licence or supported driver with use of vehicle.
