Leicester City Council is seeking a Social Worker to join our Children in Need Team to play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at risk.
The successful candidate can expect to to be paid up to £38 per hour & will be responsible for: Conducting thorough assessments of children and families referred to the Children in Need Team, developing individualised care plans, and coordinating with relevant agencies and professionals.
Identifying and addressing potential risks to children's well-being, promoting positive parenting strategies, and connecting families to community resources.
Working effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including colleagues, parents, carers, educational institutions, and other professionals, to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting the needs of children.
Maintaining detailed and accurate case records, preparing reports, and contributing to data analysis and service evaluation.
Advocating for the rights and best interests of children, empowering families to build their own capacity, and promoting their resilience.
Providing direct support, guidance, and counselings to children and families facing a range of challenges, including but not limited to: Family breakdown and separation Domestic violenct Neglect Substance misuse Mental health issues Educational difficulties Requirements: Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity.
