ERM, the world's largest pure-play sustainability consultancy, is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to join our growing Social Sustainability team at Managing Consultant level (in between Senior and Principal career levels). We all work on a hybrid basis; you must be based in Manchester, Bristol, or London for this role – or be willing to fully relocate prior to starting your new role with us. Role and Responsibilities: Manage programmes of stakeholder engagement on infrastructure projects, including management of project scope and budgets across delivery team; Lead stakeholder engagement interface with clients and provide advice around stakeholder engagement and consultation activities; Oversee production of materials to support engagement and consultation activities e.g. stakeholder engagement plans, consultation materials, and consultation summary reports; Work closely with wider Capital Project Delivery project managers, EIA managers, and environmental topic teams e.g. Planners, to ensure alignment with consenting requirements; Undertake engagement with project stakeholders across local authorities, government, statutory and non-statutory bodies (including environment & technical organisations), industry & business, land & property, and communities; Lead the writing and preparation of work-winning and business development activities, including proposals, client presentations, and technical marketing initiatives. Essential skills: Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Environmental, EIA, Planning, Sustainability, ESG; Solid experience working in similar role/s in a Consultancy environment; Infrastructure project experience; Strong project management experience and skills including scopes of work and budgets; Ability to work independently, managing your own workload and delegating tasks to others; Knowledge and experience of UK planning and consenting regimes e.g. TCPA and DCO; Experience in and enthusiasm for stakeholder engagement, consultation, and communications; Comfortable and confident engaging with all types of stakeholders, including clients and attending village hall meetings with communities; Excellent report writing, analytical and inter-personal skills with diligent attention to detail; Fluent in spoken and written English. Desirable skills: Additional language skills; Knowledge of the UN Guiding Principles, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, World Bank, IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles. #LI-LH1
