You will need to understand the needs of children looked after and be able to supervise other staff.

About the role Pay Details: Grade 6 SCP 14 - 19 £27, 334 – 29, 777 pro rataSalary on appointment will depend upon qualification and experience as determined by the appointing officer.
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 (requests for flexible working patterns can be considered)Main Place of Work: Docks Office/Agile WorkingTemporary Reason: N/A Description: As a Social Care Officer, you will support children, young people and their families/carers, in line with the relevant legislation, guidance, regulations and national standards.
You will work independently, and as part of a multi-agency team, undertaking assessments in partnership with children, young people and families to enable them to achieve the outcomes they want to and that meet their needs.
Our Family Support Teams support children and families where their needs have identified the need for care and support.
This includes children on the Child Protection Register and those in pre and care proceedings.All our Social Care Officers have access to excellent training, including the opportunity to consider training to become Social Workers.
About you You will need:· To be warm and kind, with a commitment to making a positive impact Experience of working with children, young people and their families.Experience of working in a team.Experience of collating and evaluating information.Awareness and understanding of the issues in relation to children with complexity of need.Knowledge of child development.Knowledge of different types of social work intervention.
