This 26 hour per week post is being offered on a permanent basis.
The Adult Support and Protection team provides evidence-based, expert advice and support to staff in relation to Adult Protection.
The post holder will provide support to staff in protecting adults at risk from harm across the Moray Portfolio (which includes Health & Social Care Moray and Dr Gray's Hospital) and will take a lead role within health by working collaboratively with stakeholders to manage risk.
The successful candidate will work autonomously to support operational delivery of the Adult Support and Protection agenda, ensuring key service objectives are achieved in line with national and local policies for adults at risk.
The Practitioner will work in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders in a multiagency arena in order to meet the needs of adults in need of support and protection, ensuring that effective systems are in place to enable organisational compliance with the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) 2007 Act and other protective legislation and guidance.
The successful candidate must have a good understanding of Adult Support and Protection legislation and related policies and procedures.
The Practitioner will be required to demonstrate a commitment to quality of service through continuous improvement in order to help protect the population of Moray.
The post holder will ensure all health staff within the Moray Portfolio recognise their role and responsibilities in Adult Support and Protection (ASP) and respond appropriately.There is a requirement that the successful candidate possesses a sound clinical background, demonstrating a wide range of clinical skills and a person-centred approach to care.
You should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be proficient in developing close working relationships and effective communication with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and agencies.
You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development, and opportunities for training and development will be supported.
Whilst line management is provided through the Moray portfolio nursing leadership team, the successful candidate will work closely with the NHS Grampian Public Protection team, who will support a robust induction programme and ongoing supervision.
