Site Technician

Site Technician – Staffordshire/Site Based – Competitive Salary VIQU have partnered with a leading organisation in the energy industry who are seeking a site technician to join their growing team!
The role will play a vital role in delivering high-quality electrical protection and control systems for critical projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Site Technician: Assemble and wire electrical protection and control systems using technical drawings, parts lists, and specifications.
This includes: Cable installation, glanding, and termination of paired, multicore, copper, and fiber optic cables.
Perform mechanical assembly, including cubicles, frameworks and cable tray/ladders.
Maintain high-quality standards by checking your work, completing inspection test plans (ITPs), and addressing rework as required.
Update issue logs and work with site supervisors, designers, or commissioning engineers to resolve any issues.
Conduct equipment builds and configuration inspections, including: Electrical safety checks, continuity tests, point-to-point wiring checks, high voltage withstand tests, insulation resistance tests, power-up, and equipment functionality checks.
Also complete isolations.
Experience needed for the Site Technician: Strong hands-on experience in electrical assembly, E, C & I installation and panel wiring (Substation Control Systems, Protection systems).
Must have worked on customer sites.
Ideally experience with mechanical assembly.
Familiarity with technical drawings, schematics, and parts lists.
Full UK driving license and willingness to work on customer sites.
