High-growth business is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a transforming team. This is a great opportunity to bring your Azure and Terraform expertise to an ambitious and welcoming team. Hyrbid working - they are looking for someone to be in the office 1-2 days per week (Billericay).
The purpose of the role is to support the team in their transition to Azure Cloud, building better infrastructure that supports software engineers and other internal stakeholders in their work.
Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Utilising Terraform to design, implement, and manage infrastructure in Azure. Using your knowledge and experience of Azure App Gateway, DR, Backup, NSGS, WAF and Landing Zone Architecture. Knowledge sharing with other members of the team, writing and ensuring documentation is kept up to date. Automating repetitive tasks to streamline processes. Providing support and troubleshooting issues related to applications, systems, and infrastructure. Implementing monitoring, logging, alerts, and dashboards to track the performance and health of applications and infrastructure. Ensuring that security and compliance are fully embedded. Essential skills and experience
Team player with a desire to learn and share knowledge and best practice with team. Strong knowledge of Terraform and associated best practices. Firm understanding of Azure concepts and resource management. Orchestration and configuration of virtual machines on Windows Server/Linux Experience administering Azure App Gateway, DR, Backup, NSGS and WAF. Landing zone architecture Shell scripting e.g. Bash/PowerShell Logging, monitoring and alerting (IE Better Stack, Prometheus, Data Dog, Elastic) Secrets management using e.g. HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault Least privilege security principles Please apply today for immediate CV review.
