Join Big Atom, a leader in recycling innovation, as a Site Operative at our Ellesmere Port facility.
What You'll Be Doing: Work safely, reporting any issues that may impact safety.
Follow our SOPs and use PPE appropriately.
Operate and monitor heavy machinery to meet daily production targets.
Perform basic maintenance on machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
Carry out site clean-up duties, including walkways, rest areas, weighbridge, and vehicle routes.
Conduct daily defect checks on Mobile and Fixed plants (Baler, Shredder, etc.).
Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve issues.
Undertake tasks as directed by the Shift Manager.
What We're Looking For: Experience with heavy machinery (granulators, shredders) – desirable but not essential.
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative.
Basic maintenance experience – desirable but not essential.
Experience using Telehandlers and FLTs – desirable (training provided).
An in-date FLT license is essential.
Positive "can-do" attitude and flexible approach to tasks.
