Site ManagerRail ¦ Building Asset ManagementLocation – Warrington, North WestRegion - North West & CentralDue to continued growth and CP7 contract award in the NW&C region, an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join our team in the region, working on a portfolio of rail / civil engineering & buildings asset management, maintenance & renewals projects.Business Unit AmcoGiffen is a strategic and collaborative contractor of choice supporting industry leading infrastructure clients on an array of critical maintenance frameworks and capital delivery projects.
Workstreams are across various markets including rail, highways, environmental, canals and rivers, aviation, power, electrical vehicle infrastructure and mechanical & electrical engineering.The North West & Central region possess a strong portfolio of infrastructure projects and framework contracts in rail following recent CP7 contract award, as well as a portfolio of non-rail, civil engineering works.
Works within the region include bridges, embankments, stations, platforms, tunnels, structural steel installations, moving structures etc.
The business unit are involved in multi-disciplinary civils projects across the region, whether infrastructure projects or maintenance works, working with a variety of clients and tier 1 contractors.The RoleAs Site Manager you will be directly responsible for the daily management of rail, building asset management, maintenance & renewals works within the regional portfolio of work.
Primarily dedicated to fault works within the framework, works typically have a Mechanical & Electrical bias (M&E) but will also involve minor building works within a Station and Property environment.Day to day responsibilities would include:•  Ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with the requirements of:o  All applicable legislationo  The Terms and Conditions of the Contracto  The Contract Health and Safety Plano  The Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheetso  The Contract Quality / Environmental Plan•  Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.•  Liaison with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.•  The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.•  Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.•  The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Project and Contracts Managers.RequirementsTo excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Sub Agent or Site Manager in a rail and civil engineering maintenance environment.SMSTSPTSDegree / HNC or HND in civil engineering (or equivalent compensating experience in a technical engineering role)Experience as a Sub Agent or Site Manager in a civil engineering contracting environment.Experience in a similar role working on multi-disciplinary civils and building maintenance projects.In returnCompetitive annual salary negotiable dependant on experienceCompany Car or Car Allowance25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)Up to 3 volunteer daysCompany contributory Pension schemeLife InsuranceWestfield Health Cash Plan & Westfield RewardsGenerous Employee referral schemeSupport and employee infrastructure embedded in the business as a platform for personal and professional development creating pathways for unrivalled career development and progression opportunities internally.Consistent learning opportunitiesA safe place to workEmployee forum's that provide a platform for having your voice heard
